• The Pride Northshore Parade takes place in Mandeville on Saturday, May 30, from 4pm to 5pm. It starts at the corner of Marigny and Lakeshore Drive, heads down Lakeshore Drive, turns right up Girod Street and ends at the Mandeville Trailhead where the Block Party will run from 5pm - 9pm.

    • Participant Check-In: 2:00-3:15 PM. Look for the tent on the neutral ground on Marigny between Claiborne and Lakeshore Drive.

    • If you registered individually, you check in at the tent to march with Queer Northshore.

    • If you registered as part of a walking group, you check in with your group leader.

    • Streets Close: 3:00 PM

    • Lineup: 3:15 PM

    • Parade Starts: 4 PM

All participants will receive an email with all details on Friday morning.

  • As with all large events, parking sucks.

    • Arrive early to find parking. There are several parking lots along Girod though access may be limited. There is also a log of parking along Lakeshore Drive. Street parking is available throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.

    • Girod Street will be closed at 3pm.

    • We strongly recommend carpooling if possible.

    • If you are participating in the parade, consider parking near the Trailhead where the parade ends, and walking to the start of the route, rather than having to walk back to your car later.

    • The Block Party takes place where the parade ends at the Mandeville Trailhead from 5pm - 9pm.

    • It’s free to attend and open to everyone.

    • There will be food trucks and a bar. An ATM is on site.

    • Official Pride Northshore Merch will be available.

    • There will be Drag performances, DJs, community partner tables, a photo booth, a splash pad, kids activities and more.

    • Restrooms are on site.

    • The official Pride Northshore poster by Ashley Franklin (AKA wafflez)

    • Protesting with Pride Shirts, Tanks, and Crop Tops.

  • → Wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water — Louisiana heat is real.
→ Comfortable shoes are your friend.
→ Bring a small bag with essentials like sunglasses, meds, chargers, or a cooling towel.
→ Don’t feel pressure to “look Pride enough.” Come as yourself.
→ It’s okay to feel nervous, emotional, excited, or all three at once.
→ Take breaks when you need to. Pride should feel joyful, not overwhelming.
→ Talk to people! Most folks are happy to chat, especially with first-time attendees.
→ Check out the resource area if you want to meet community groups and learn more about local organizations.
→ And most importantly: there is no wrong way to do Pride.

Whether you come loud and glittery or quiet and curious, you belong here. 💖

  • Absolutely. Pride Northshore’s parade and block party are designed to bring together people of all ages. There will be kids walking in the parade as well. The block party will also feature face painting, bracelet making, and a splash pad.
