This Halloween, we’re bringing the treats, joy, and community love to one of St. Tammany’s underserved neighborhoods. The Next Right Thing, Queer Northshore, St. Tammany Library Alliance, and friends are teaming up to create a night of safe, fun, and meaningful connection for local kids and families.
We’ll have:
Trick-or-treat stations
Party games
Free children’s books
Live music from Ben Redwine & Don Vappie
Face painting
…and whatever wonderful ideas you bring!
We need YOU to make the magic happen!
Host a trick-or-treat table (candy, treats, folding table — costumes/decor encouraged!)
Bring decorations, games, or healthy snacks
Share your skills — face painting, crafts, music
Help lead event activities
Whether you’re coming as yourself or repping an organization, you’re welcome. Costumes and decorations can absolutely carry child-appropriate antifascist messaging — because joy is resistance.
To participate, join the Facebook event and leave a comment in the discussion telling us you’re in — and share your ideas!
Let’s make Halloween unforgettable for these kids — and a sweet night of solidarity for the whole community.
