Meet at the Sugar Mill trailhead at 9 and we'll head out by 9:30.

• The Sugar Mill trailhead is on the left shortly after entering the park, before you get to the large lake parking. There is limited parking on both sides of the road.

• Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray. 

• All ages are welcome, as are friendly dogs. (Please let Sarah know if you are bringing your pups, including size and breed, so others know what to expect.)

• Although the trail is wide and fairly level, it's all unpaved and not very accessible. Depending on recent rain, the trails can be a little wet so keep that in mind too!

• As the boardwalk is still closed, we'll do a few miles on the Cane Bayou and Sugar Mill trails. Plan for a few hours. 

• Heads up on the park day use fee: $3/person, free for seniors or young children.
