 PRIDE Northshore Mission and Program

PRIDE Northshore is Southeast Louisiana’s family friendly celebration of LGBTQ+ PRIDE Month (June 1 - 30), produced by St Tammany-based nonprofit, Queer Northshore. As a 501c3, our mission is to promote LGBTQ+ visibility and community in Southeast Louisiana.

  • The Northshore’s First PRIDE Parade: PRIDE Northshore’s inaugural celebration will kick off June 1st, 2024 with an all ages PRIDE Parade on the Mandeville Lakefront. The parade is open to members of the LGBTQ+ community and anyone who stands in support of inclusivity and diversity in Louisiana.  A variety of other LGBTQ+ and allied organizations and groups have been invited to march as sub-krewes in the parade, including Connect Northshore, Southeastern’s Lavender Lions, LGBTQ+ friendly churches, various Democratic groups and more.  Click here to sign up and march with us!

  • A Billboard in St Tammany Celebrating PRIDE: PRIDE Northshore is raising funds to cover the cost of a 5-week billboard ad in St Tammany. The billboard will be up from May 27 - June 30, and will serve to remind folks that St Tammany is home to thousands of LGBTQ+ people, and to invite more LGBTQ+ folks and allies to join in and help build a stronger, more inclusive community.

  • The Ponchatoula PRIDE Party: On Saturday, June 15th, PRIDE Northshore’s Ponchatoula PRIDE Party will take place at Twin Steeples, featuring drag performances, a resource fair, vendors, and food trucks. Click here to register for the PRIDE Party.

  • The PRIDE Northshore Guide: PRIDE Northshore will also include dozens of official events and offerings from business partners throughout the Florida parishes. These events will be included on the Northshore PRIDE Guide, available online and distributed at businesses. Catch LGBTQ+ musicians, Drag Queens, and artists performing at venues across the Northshore, as well as businesses offering special products or services for PRIDE. These Patrons of Pride partners will be contributing a percentage of sales to Queer Northshore.

Louisiana has over 200k LGBTQ+ adult residents, and thousands of them live right here on the Northshore. No other outlet in the area will allow your business to connect with thousands of LGBTQ+ individuals and their families with the same impact and reach that PRIDE Northshore will. According to Harns/Witeck-Combs, 72% of LGBTQ+ individuals prefer to buy from companies that advertise to them directly. General Sponsorship Opportunities

  • Donations from businesses and organizations are the main source of funding for Queer Northshore, allowing us to host PRIDE Northshore and a host of other events throughout the year.  

  • 100% of proceeds will go towards PRIDE programming for the month of June including police details, EMS, decorations, permits and clean up crews for the parade, a large billboard in Covington on HWY 190 featuring a “Happy PRIDE” message, and all costs associated with the Ponchatoula PRIDE Party at Twin Steeples.

  • Contribute a percentage of sales from an “Official PRIDE Northshore Event” you host or from unique goods or services you offer during the month of June.
